Georgette: an excellent selection for lining dresses and skirts, georgette is almost as translucent as chiffon but with additional bodyweight to it. Plaids that don't particularly copy the pattern on equally the horizontal and vertical axis are usually not tartans, they're just frequent plaids. uti
